Guy Melville, Site Manager at Insight Contracts, was overseeing a full refurbishment at Craftworks when the building started showing signs of significant water ingress. With leaks affecting numerous windows throughout the property, Guy brought in Century 21 to carry out a full survey and get to the root of the problem.
The challenge
A detailed survey identified issues across around 40 to 50 windows in the building, all suffering from water ingress. Alongside this, the project also called for three new fire escapes and a full refurbishment of the existing fire doors.
The Century 21 approach
From the outset, Ross and the team at Century 21 impressed with their attention to detail. Every stage of the process, from initial quotes through to risk assessments, was thorough and clearly communicated. The team then delivered the works on time and to a high standard.
The fix involved fitting new drip rails to every affected window, along with new doors and hinges on the mechanisms, all designed to stop water ingress at the source.
The result
The works were completed around four weeks before this case study, and since then, the building has had no further leaks. A problem that had been affecting dozens of windows across the site has been fully resolved.
A long-standing relationship
Guy’s connection with Century 21 goes back much further than this single project. He first worked with the company around 14 years ago, back when it was run by Ross’s father. Since then, he’s kept the relationship going, spotting Century 21 vans on the road and staying in touch, and has now worked with Ross on the last three projects.
