The Project
Following damage caused by protesters, J.P. Morgan required urgent replacement of specialist glazing units at one of their commercial premises. Given the scale and specification of the original installation, this was no standard repair — each replacement unit weighed almost 700kg, demanding a level of technical expertise and specialist equipment few glazing contractors could offer.
Century 21 was appointed to supply and install the new units, ensuring the building’s security and aesthetic were restored quickly, safely, and to the highest standard.

The Challenge
The project presented several significant obstacles. The sheer size and weight of the glazing units required careful planning to move and install safely, while limited space on site restricted access for lifting equipment. Adding to the complexity, all works needed to be carried out out of hours to avoid any disruption to J.P. Morgan’s day-to-day operations.

The Century 21 Approach
Drawing on our in-house expertise and equipment investment, our team devised a bespoke lifting strategy combining a HIAB lorry, spider crane, and our OSCAR glazing robot. This combination allowed us to manoeuvre and position the heavy glazing units with precision, even within the site’s tight spatial constraints.
By scheduling works outside of standard business hours, our team completed the installation efficiently and safely, with minimal disruption to the client and surrounding area.
The Result
The specialist glazing units were successfully installed to schedule, restoring both the security and appearance of the building. The project showcased Century 21’s ability to manage complex, high-value commercial installations — combining technical expertise, specialist equipment, and meticulous planning to deliver a safe and seamless outcome for a major global client.
